BURO Spotlights: Inside BYD Cars Malaysia by Sime Darby Motors x UEFA EURO 2024™ watch party

Football fans around the world have their sights set on Germany and Spain’s match recently as the Western European nation hosted the 2024 UEFA European Championship. The 17th edition of the tournament, happening from June 14 to July 14, 2024, took place in 10 top-tier stadiums across the country and attracted significant partnerships with like-minded brands such as BYD. 

As an official partner, the automaker is integral to delivering sustainable and efficient transportation solutions throughout the event, providing a wide array of electric vehicles for fans and teams across Europe. BYD is also showcasing its latest New Energy Vehicle models and advanced technologies at select venues. What’s more, several of its stores have been transformed into vibrant hubs where customers and visitors can completely absorb themselves in the excitement of the tournament.

Last Friday, Sime Darby Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, organised a watch party at SOULed OUT Kuala Lumpur in Hartamas, drawing in some of their loyal clients to enjoy the quarter-final match between Spain and Germany. Outside the venue, guests had the opportunity to explore a lineup of BYD cars including the BYD ATTO 3, BYD DOLPHIN and BYD SEAL, enabling them to experience the distinctive features of each vehicle.

Upstairs at the venue, the fun continued as attendees savoured a delightful buffet, played foosball, and snapped photos at the photo booth to kickstart the event. We extended invitations to five Friends of BURO—Steffi Sidhu, Alton Yique, Justin Wei Qing, Linora Low and Dinesvaran Krishan—to join us for the watch party, offering them the chance to not only experience the atmosphere but also discover more about BYD cars.
