Behold: The winners of the Michelin Guide Singapore 2018

We’re not the only ones celebrating the number three (get the highlights of last night’s #BuroTurnsThree here) as the third instalment of the Michelin Guide Singapore and its 2018 stars were recently revealed. This year sees a total of 39 restaurants that were awarded stars with five new entries and sadly, zero for the three-star category.

Was that expected? Perhaps. Considering three-Michelin-starred French restaurant Joël Robuchon closed at the end of June, along with its sister outlet, the two-Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. The result, along with Chef André Chiang closing Restaurant André back in February, meant even the two-stars listing has shrunk.

No new hawker fare made it into the list but fan favourite Singaporean hawker stalls — Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle — remain seated snugly in the guide with their respective one stars.
