1. Bref by Darren Chin

Bref is French for “brief” and is Chef Darren Chin’s “vision of a contemporary Parisian bistro”. The menu is still very much French, his flair for cooking is still very much Darren Chin-esque but the setting is more casual and less of the air of a fine dining setting.

Defining themselves as a place that serves all-day comfort food, Little Rimba is no doubt an Instagram-worthy cafe in a quiet corner of TTDI. However, be warned that service might be a tad slow depending on the crowd.

For something a bit more casual with a whole dollop of sinful indulgence, head to Atap Rooftop Cafe where they serve amazing HSP (halal snack pack or essentially halal-certified kebab meat mixed with chips and different kinds of sauces) as claimed by a lot of satisfied diners. The cafe comes with a decent view and makes for an interesting mini adventure different from the usual #cafehopping. Fun fact: Atap Rooftop Cafe is the brainchild of YouTuber and actor Sean Lee and his friend, Hatta.
