Located in Kloé Hotel, Monroe serves casual comfort food and brunch. 3. Akar Dining, TTDI
Described as a locally-driven modern French restaurant, Akar Dining has a lot to offer. At the moment, Akar Dining has a four-course and five-course Carte Blanche—consisting of dishes such as Spanish Mackerel with Fennel and Apple; Cornish Chicken with Scorched Rice and Crown Daisy; as well as Larnaudie Foie Gras with Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, and Beetroot.

4. Calia, Bukit Bintang
The Australian culinary brand’s first outlet in Malaysia will be opening on 19 June 2020. This will also be their first international store. Created in 2016 in Melbourne, Calia serves unique Japanese-inspired Australian fare—with a menu curated by Michelin Starred Chef Francisco Araya.
Signature dishes here include The Calia Wagyu Bowl (Premium Australian Marbled Wagyu Steak with 63° egg and Yuzu Koshu on Japanese Akitakomachi rice); Toro Bowl (Air flown Japanese toro from Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo, glazed with nikiri sauce and toro tartare on Japanese Akitakomachi rice); as well as The Calia Ultimate Bowl (Uni, wagyu, French foie gras, ikura, and 63° egg on Japanese Akitakomachi rice).

5. Atelier Binchotan, Taman Desa
With the binchotan charcoal the core of its culinary philosophy, Atelier Binchotan is a restaurant with a Barbecue Bistronomy concept. Patrons will be seated at a communal concrete seating area with an open kitchen. Go for the Angus beef ribeye, New Zealand lamb rack, Sabahan white clams, Malaysian kampung chicken, and Spanish iberico pork ribs among others.

6. TGT In Life, Petaling Jaya
The new cafe—operated by the team behind The Roast Things Coffee Roasters—specialises in coffee, wine, and food. The menu consists of options such as Fried Chicken Waffle, Pan Fried Salmon, Stuffed Cheese Chicken Meatball, Tempeh and Mushroom Herb Rice, as well as Quinoa Cauliflower Salad.

7. Flour, Bukit Bintang
Specialising in North Indian cuisine, expect bursting flavours and aroma from Flour. Although Flour—opened by Natasha Ng and Yogesh Upadhyay—isn’t exactly a newcomer to the dining scene in Kuala Lumpur, this is their new location after closing in Damansara Heights.
Try the chicken leg with pumpkin sauce, lamb chops with mint sauce, escargots with coriander sauce, as well as the lentil-and-fennel-packed bittergourd among other options.
