As Christmas celebrations begin and New Year’s Eve fast approaches, festivities are already underway as we gather with loved ones, and reconnect with long lost friends and family. Upcoming celebratory plans of merriment over good food and great drinks will be sure to follow, and the Marini’s Group has planned for two of its Michelin Select establishments to provide guests with beautifully curated menus for the year end celebrations.

 


Marini’s on 57 is Malaysia’s multi award-winning rooftop dining destination comprising an Italian restaurant, a whiskey lounge, and a rooftop bar. Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the luxury establishment sits 876 ft above sea level offering unobstructed views of the city’s skyline as well as the iconic Petronas Twin Towers nearby. Diners can expect to enjoy exceptional contemporary cuisine and unparalleled level of service across all three spaces within the establishment, combined with a festive touch added to its signature dishes, as well as seasonal favourites this time of year.

 

2023 Christmas Set Dinner

Prawn and crab cannolo

This year, the Christmas Set Dinner menu begins with an entrée of scrambled eggs with parmesan cheese foam and black truffle shavings, followed by a prawn and crab cannolo with lime mayonnaise, pomegranate jelly, and salmon and herring roe with chives. As a prelude to the main event, a decadent ravioli is served with a ricotta of butter parmesan cheese sauce stuffing accompanied by a balsamic reduction, and black truffle shavings.

Baked turkey with chestnut purée

For the main course, guests can choose one from the following three selections:

  • Baked cod fish with chickpea and rosemary cream, roasted pumpkin, and braised leeks; OR
  • Baked turkey with chestnut purée, fermented red cabbage, turkey gravy and cranberry sauce; OR
  • Braised beef cheek with celeriac purée, brussels sprouts, and green asparagus
Italian Panettone Semifreddo

For dessert, an indulgent elevated version of the classic Italian Panettone Semifreddo is served. A slice of panettone stuffed with rum and raisin ice cream will be presented with rum Chantilly cream and meringue. Chocolate brownies soil is then served to complete an unforgettable dining experience this Christmas at Marini’s on 57.

2023 New Year’s Eve Set Dinner

While reflecting on the wonderful memories of the past year, Marini’s on 57 has specially curated an eight-course dinner for guests who wish to commemorate the occasion in a luxurious setting with the perfect ambience to usher in the new year to come.

New Year’s Eve dinner will begin with a trio of different textured bites comprising gallagher oysters with champagne vinaigrette and beluga caviar; buttery pan-seared foie gras with brioche bread, dried figs and green apple chutney; and scrambled eggs with parmesan foam and winter black truffle shavings. These are then followed by a prelude of Hokkaido scallops with parsnip purée, earthy porcini mushroom cream, and salmon roe.

Roasted Tasmanian ocean trout

The first main course will be a delicious lobster tail risotto with lobster bisque and foam. For the second main course, guests will have the option to select one from the following: 

  • Wagyu tenderloin score 9 with black truffle sauce, roasted potatoes, with mushroom and bone marrow timbale; OR
  • Roasted Tasmanian ocean trout with cauliflower purée, mashed beetroot, and Beluga caviar white butter sauce.

A subtle Truffle Taleggio Cheese dish follows, where slices of the mild, buttery cheese is served with hints of fruit and a tang, paired with toasted sourdough bread and radicchio jam.  

Monte Bianco

To end the magnificent fare, Marini’s on 57 has curated a dessert that pays tribute to the highest mountains of Europe—the Monte Bianco. The decadent dessert has meringue peaks concealing a chestnut paste, with rum-flavoured Chantilly cream decorated with edible gold flakes added as a glamorous finishing touch.

Marble 8 is a luxurious and premier steakhouse providing new depth and elegance to the steak dining experience. Here, premium Wagyu and Angus cuts are offered along with other seafood and vegetarian options. Specialising in dry-aged beef, Marble 8 treats signature beef cuts in their own in-house custom-built dry-ageing room. Located on Level 56 of the Petronas Twin Towers, the steakhouse is also offering a variety of festive dishes this Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

 

2023 Christmas Set Dinner

Mini Christmas Japanese Wagyu burger

The Christmas menu consists of six courses beginning with an amuse bouche of mini Christmas Japanese Wagyu burgers served on a beetroot bun. The second course is a starter of ocean trout marinated with passionfruit tiger’s milk marinade, and served with trout roe, squid ink sago tuile, and fresh chives. Next on the menu will be a porcini risotto served in parmesan foam and fresh truffle shavings, followed by turkey stuffed with chestnut and figs roulade, turkey juice, and accompanied by a mixed berries compote, and heirloom carrot purée.

Seared cod with champagne caviar sauce

For the fifth course, guests can select one option from the following:

  • Braised Wagyu beef cheeks; OR
  • Seared cod with champagne caviar sauce

Both options will be served with a side of butter glazed asparagus, and saffron mashed potatoes.

Christmas fruit cake

The closing chapter to this delicious Christmas dinner will be a warm Christmas fruit cake served with Glenlivet 12 single malt scotch whisky, a vanilla anglaise sauce, and vanilla gelato.

2023 New Year’s Eve Set Dinner

For Marble 8’s special New Year’s Eve dinner, the menu begins with an amuse bouche of mini Christmas Japanese Wagyu burgers, followed by a lobster and scallop duo served with celeriac dill cream, olive oil, and black truffle shavings. Up next is a charred cauliflower soup served with purple cauliflower cream, and Beluga caviar, which is a perfect prelude to Marble 8’s house made truffle porcini ravioli, served with an aromatic parmesan truffle cream and blueberries. 

Wagyu tenderloin M9

The main course is a selection of one of the following:

  • Wagyu tenderloin M9 served with Sarawak pepperoni sauce, grilled asparagus, and potato millefeuille; OR
  • Baked ocean trout served with sauteed vegetables, saffron potatoes, and saffron buttercream
Semifreddo with fresh almonds

To finish off the final meal of the year, a sweet ending of semifreddo with fresh almonds will be served with 70 per cent Valrhona chocolate sauce. Guests will bid farewell to 2023 and usher in the new year completely satiated.
