All you need to know about KL Cocktail Week 2025, the second edition of the city’s biggest celebration of mixology, featuring leading local and international bars.
The highly anticipated Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week is returning for its 2025 edition from 22 to 27 April 2025 and this time, its lineup is looking stronger than ever. We won’t spoil anything too early here but just know that you’ll be in the presence of some of the world’s best bars (certified!) and bartenders all week long. Keeping things exciting, the week doesn’t only feature guest shifts and takeovers. The schedule also includes a series of seminars, cocktail pairing dinners, and—of course—the KLCW Festival Village. Below, you’ll find the full bar lineup, schedule, and everything else you’ll need to know about KL Cocktail Week 2025.
WHAT IS KL COCKTAIL WEEK 2025?
To put it simply, KL Cocktail Week is here to put the local mixology scene on the map. The week-long celebration of the industry also aims to bring together drinks enthusiasts from around the area to get a taste of what top tier bartending, cocktail craftsmanship, and hospitality is all about. On top of that, it also hopes to enlist new fans of cocktails through its programme, which will see 27 international bars land on Malaysian soil just for this event.
HOW DOES KL COCKTAIL WEEK 2025 WORK?
Speaking of the programme, the schedule has a ton in store for everyone, showcasing the spirits and skills that keep this industry going. Those who want to check bars off their boozy bucket lists can look to the legendary lineup of guest shifts and takeovers, while foodies may find their next gastronomical adventure in the calendar of cocktail dinner pairings.
Meanwhile, those who want to gain a little more insight into the wild world of bartending and hospitality can grab a seat at one of the seminars. Lastly, the events of the week will culminate in the KLCW Festival Village (Sentul Depot, 26 April), where brands, bars, and bartenders will be out in full force, showcasing their best of their prowesses for one day only. Plus, there will be live music and other activities on-site to keep the party going.
WHO RUNS KL COCKTAIL WEEK 2025?
Behind the brand-neutral KL Cocktail Week is a passionate team of bar owners, bartenders, drinks writers, creatives, and more, who never seem to run out of energy when it comes to spreading the joy of the local tipples scene. This year’s committee members are: Angeline Tan (co-founder, Three x Co), Angel Ng Ji (co-founder, Triptyk), Amanda Wan (head bartender, Three x Co), Affie Adut (co-founder, Here & Now), Jon Lee (co-founder, Penrose), Jin Boone Ooi (co-owner, Wholly Spirits), Joel Poon (co-founder, Reka:Bar), Brandon Tan (maitre’d, Penrose), Matthew Goh (co-founder, Penrose), Rohan Matmary (beverage manager, Four Seasons KL), Maria Escobia (head bartender, Penrose), Nicholas Ng (founder, Food for Thought and Tipple.my), Trisha Toh (art director, @trishates), and Valen Lim (founder, Valenlim Studio).
