Sound the alarms! Kita Food Festival 2024 is taking things to East Malaysia, introducing its first-ever chapter in Kota Kinabalu with the support of the Sabah Tourism Board. Happening from 8 to 10 November 2024, the Weekender event will put the spotlight on the region’s leading figures in the food industry as well as local producers. It’s set to be a true celebration of the region’s vibrant gastronomic tapestry and if the past Kita Food Festivals have been anything to go by, you won’t want to miss out.

Building off of its main KL and Singapore events, this Kota Kinabalu edition will also comprise exciting four-hand dinners, a cocktail party, and the trademark Big Sunday Barbecue. Also on the schedule is a mini version of Kita Conversations, featuring talks and presentations. “Sabah has one of the richest biodiversities on earth, making it the perfect setting to celebrate the unique flavours and stories of not just Borneo, but Southeast Asia,” says Leisa Tyler, co-founder of Kita Food Festival. Ahead, you’ll find everything you need to know about Kita Food Festival’s Kota Kinabalu edition!
