Here are the World’s 50 Best Restaurants of 2018

While some travel for the sights, others do it in search of a taste that can satiate their palate. They’d book months in advance. They’d queue for as long as it takes. They’d proudly have a bucket list of restaurants to visit. If you’re one of those, you might want to add these 2018 winners of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. We said ‘some’ because there are repeaters on this list that have shown winning an award wouldn’t affect their quality whatsoever.

The cream of the crop this year is none other than Italy’s Osteria Francescana, which comes as no surprise considering head chef Massimo Bottura first held the spot in 2016 and is known for his surreal masterpieces of classic Italian dishes. The 2017 winner, Eleven Madison Park, was closed for some time due to renovations and thus came in fourth instead.

On that note, for the fourth year running, Bangkok’s Gaggan maintains its position as the best restaurant in Asia, while climbing to fifth place on a global scale. Our other neighbour, Singapore, managed to secure a spot on the list via new entry Odette. Check out below for the full list of winners.
