Green soul food
With the ever-growing community of vegans and vegetarians in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian dining scene has really stepped up in recent years to cater to customers of different dietary preferences. As a result, switching to a plant-based diet has never been this easy as there are plenty of options around.Â
In case you didn’t know, veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of any animal products. In relation to the vegan diet, this means excluding foods and drinks that are made with animal byproducts, which include honey and eggs.
In celebration of World Vegan Day today, we spotlight five plant-based cafes and restaurants in Kuala Lumpur that are serving delicious green soul food. Whether you’re a meat-eater curious to try the diet out yourself or an existing practitioner looking for new places to check out, there is something for everyone.Â
