5 Places to eat at and celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend

When it comes to celebrations, it’s not just the food or the ambience that matters—it’s both. And luckily, these places serve that perfect combination. Be sure to make a reservation soon before it’s all booked out though.

1. Nobu KL’s Valentine’s Day Omakase Menu, 13th and 14th Feb

What’s better than having a romantic dinner with a breath-taking view of the city? Having an equally breath-taking seven-course menu specially created by Executive Chef Philip Leong and his team to match the occasion. Nobu KL’s Valentine’s Day Omakase Dinner comprises of seven delectable dishes made from the finest ingredients, starting with the Seared Toro with Mustard Goma Sauce that simply melts on your tongue and ending with the Chocolate Tart that crackles magically in your mouth.

The Quail Three Ways is also a notable mention as it’s the restaurant’s first time experimenting with quail and its Quail Nori Tacos will leave you wanting more. The other interesting firsts are the Seafood with Shaved Ice Ceviche—simply refreshing yuzu-infused ice atop fresh bits of sashimi—and the Chilean Seabass with Beetroot Miso—the garnish of arrowroot chips is a fine addition as well.

Nobu KL’s Valentine’s Day Omakase Dinner is priced at RM495++ per person whereas the premium Valentine’s Menu (with caviar, truffle, champagne and chocolate box) is priced at RM695++. To make a reservation, please call 03 2164 5084 or WhatsApp 019 389 5085.

On an average day, Babe is already known to impress (check out our review here) but for Valentine’s Day, Michelin-starred Chef Jeff Ramsey and his team have possibly upped their game even more. Celebrate the occasion with 17 of Chef’s playful “Japas” (Japanese tapas) ranging from Nitro Rose (roselle jam and toast) to Kuro Paitan to Tori Shinjo (it uses black chicken which is a local delicacy) to the highlight of the menu, the dessert: Hello Kitty’s Wet Dream.

Babe’s Valentine’s Day Menu is priced at RM450++ per person and is optional for reservations made on 13 February. To make a reservation, please head over to their website.
