5 Easter-themed brunches and tea for you to enjoy a foodie hunt

 

Easter marks an important celebration in the Christian calendar and it is also the commemoration of spring. With that, Easter is synonymous with eggs, chocolates and other sweet treats. In honour of this special day, we list down where you can go to get an egg-cellent sugar fix and more. Bunny not included!

 

1. Nobu Kuala Lumpur

Featuring a combination of decadent flavours, the special dessert menu for this Easter features intricate sweet creations to whet your appetite. Among the standout items include Hojicha Kakigori, Apple Sour Cream Cake and Mango Yuzu Pavlova. Look out for the Easter Egg (pictured above) that is made with Chocolate Miso Macaroon, Yuzu Pistachio Nougat and Green Tea Grammy Soft Cookies.

Also for this month only – enjoy the Hanami High Tea that is available on every Saturday and Sunday at Nobu KL. The beautiful Hanami sets feature three kinds of bento boxes with Sakura-inspired dishes to give your taste buds a joyful experience.

2. W Kuala Lumpur

From foie gras chawan mushi to smoked salmon eggs benedict, wagyu beef rendang, wok-fried chilli crab and barbequed slipper lobster, there are many reasons to check out the Easter Edition at the W Kuala Lumpur. The mouthwatering offerings also include artisanal cheeses and tiny dim sum chocolates in the shapes of har-gao and siew mai. You can also try your luck at winning a free night’s stay at the W—just look out for the Golden Egg at the Easter Egg Hunt!

3. The St Regis Kuala Lumpur

Bring the whole family to The Astor Room for a fun time together. The Easter Sunday Brunch menu is set to delight with live-cooking stations and dedicated corners with fresh seafood such as Alaskan King Crabs and French Oysters. From the kitchen, enjoy Scallop, Saffron and Parmesan Risotto with Porcini Oil, Oven-Baked Orange-Marinated Spring Chicken and more. For desserts, you can’t go wrong with house-made cakes, pastries and ice cream. Kids get to go on an Easter Egg Hunt to burn off the energy and do Easter Egg Painting as well.

Over at The Drawing Room, the Easter-themed Afternoon Tea will sweeten you right up with its selection of treats including chocolate Botero ‘Horse’, traditional Easter Egg chocolates and cookies. You can gift these too for a warm festive greeting.

Enjoy the local flavoured brunch with a modern twist such as the Crispy School Prawn Curry with chilli, lemongrass and baby eggplant, or the Black Angus Tri Tip cooked rendang style. The buffet will be perfect for the whole family. Stay for teatime after that with sweet treats of cakes and petit fours – the Dulcey and lemon mascarpone chiffon cake got our attention.
