1. Tanuki by Crustz

 

If you adore the desserts at Xiao by Crustz in Petaling Jaya, you’ll love their new cafe that focuses on ice cream cakes and sorbet floats. Gorgeous on the plate and on the palate, the space itself will double up that happiness.

2. The Lolla Co.

 

Loved for the coffee, its hot-pressed sandwiches and its inviting space, The Lolla Co. is akin to a mini sanctuary in the middle of the city. We’re giving them bonus points for having the option of almond milk to go with your cuppa.

There’s a new mall in town and it’s a gorgeous space interlaced with a ton of greenery and colours. To complement: Bean Brothers’ latest branch with plenty of natural light, plants and of course, great coffee and bites.

4. The Grill

There are two reasons why you should check out The Grill at Elements KL. One: It’s opened by Michelin-starred Chef Jeff Ramsey. Two: It uses a custom-made grill that is the first of its kind in Malaysia, which guarantees the perfect tasting grilled food.

5. Urban Daybreak Cafe, Bangsar

One of Penang’s best brunch spots has opened in Bangsar and for the unfamiliar, expect authentic Australian breakfast and brunch dishes, which include their popular Fried Chicken Waffle.

6. Fauxspace

If you’ve ever walked along Jalan Telawi and wondered about the shop on the second level with a fox-like logo, let it now be known it’s a cafe slash co-working space. Built with the people who often have to hunt a cafe to work at in mind, they offer 100mps internet and reasonably priced coffee (as well as snacks and cakes).

7. The Ding’s
