Here’s what you need to know about the Louis XIII Black Pearl Collection AHD

How often do you stumble upon something that has stood the test of time—since 1874 to be specific. The Louis XIII cognac consists of the oldest, finest, and most precious eaux-de-vie. The blend of up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie sourced 100 percent from Grande Champagne is exquisite. Today, the major cognac house is taking things up a notch with a limited edition crystal decanter, paying tribute to former chairman, André Hériard Dubreuil.

What makes the limited edition Black Pearl Collection special? The 35cl deluxe colour of steel is a brilliant work of art and is inspired by a royal flask found on the battlefield of Jarnac. The 1498 numbered Louis XIII Black Pearl AHD decanters are a pure concentrate of savoir-faire. In addition to that, its precious liquid is drawn from a single tierçon hidden in the family reserve. In a bespoke Baccarat decanter, the rare blend of Louis XIII cognac is cooler, damper, and darker than the other cellars.

If you’re wondering, expect remarklable notes of plum, leather, myrrh, honey, dried roses, cigar box, and fig. You might even experience other notes depending on conditions such as weather. One thing’s for sure—every sip is exquisite, elegant, and as fine as it gets.

The Louis XIII retails at $13,000 (approximately RM54,000) and available on request through [email protected].
