Attention to detail is the key to perfection at Pince & Pints KL

There is a classy and sophisticated feel to the interior of Pince & Pints on Jalan Telawi. Unlike it’s original restaurant on Duxton Road in Singapore, the newly open branch feels slightly more posh with marble table tops and luxurious cushioned booths. The restaurant also pays homage to the lobster industry by lining the walls with actual material from lobster cages that adds a meaningful touch to the space.

There are only five ways to enjoy your lobster at Pince & Pints and it is not because they lack creativity but because they cook these dishes so well that there is no need for anything more. Our favourite among the five is the Lobster Roll — an entire lobster de-shelled and tossed in mayonnaise and salt, stuffed in a fluffy and buttery ‘top split’ homemade bun, and topped with chives, which is accompanied by a lovely salad and delicious crispy fries.

Another delectable must-try is the Chili Lobster with Mantou, a nod to its Singaporean roots that features whole fresh lobster doused in a delightfully spicy house-blend chili gravy. The best part of this dish is that it comes with a side of fried mantou (mini buns) that are perfectly crisp on the outside while fluffy and soft on the inside, which were perfect to soak up the delicious sauce.

With long lists of cocktails, boutique wines, artisanal beers, and handcrafted cocktails, the bar offers some really exciting and creative selections such as the Mr & Mrs Smith (fresh kiwi and lime, panda syrup, apple and guava juice) and the Highway Run Into the Midnight Sun (gin, vodka, fresh lime, cilantro and sugar). Our personal favourites, however, are the Lychee Martini No 32 (rum, Alsatian Gewürztraminer, lychee puree & liquor, sugar) and the Maple Pisco Sour (maple syrup, pisco, fresh lemon, bitters, sea salt).

We love the Pince & Pints KL’s reinterpretation of a New England lobster house into an elegant and welcoming restaurant along with the dedication their team has towards the food and drinks served. At Pince & Pints, you are sure to get the freshest catch as the lobsters served are air flown live from the waters of Boston, Maine and Canada twice a week, and in line with their strive for perfection, the gorgeous and delectable garnishes on their drinks are all dehydrated in-house — these are examples of the attention to detail given at this restaurant, which is worth a visit (or a hundred).
