This is a self-service banana leaf rice eatery located within Money's Corner food court in Brickfields. It operates like your local zhap fan (economy rice) shop where there is a good selection of dishes that you can choose to go with your rice. If you need help, the fried chicken and mutton curry are a crowd-pleaser.

Spicy and aromatic curries are the norm here, so be warned if you can't stand the heat. In the turf of Bangsar, two establishments reign supreme in the banana leaf rice game with Devi's taking the crown for its signature crab curry, mutton curry and addictive fried snake bitter gourd. Heap scoops of fish curry gravy on your rice and you're in for a heavenly meal. It can be difficult to find parking spots around that area though, so it's best if you go early before lunch hour. Service might also be inconsistent during busy period.

This eatery became the talk of the town when word got out about its highly recommended crab rasam. Located in a house, the signage-less restaurant that was once a hidden gem is now crowded with customers. The traditional rice set comes with parboiled rice, four assorted vegetable dishes and papadum. For a homely meal, try their signature side dishes—fried calamari, squid sambal, mutton varuval, and crab masala. Although it's a little on the pricey side, the experience and the exquisite food you're getting definitely makes up for it.
