What to expect at 'The Andaman Presents'
Stepping into The Andaman, Langkawi, one is immediately enveloped in paradise. Service is warm and friendly, the rooms and suites make for peaceful retreats surrounded by the lush greenery of the tropical rainforest, and the Datai Bay is essentially your backyard, where you will be treated to one of the best, if not the best, sunset views on the island—it was named in National Geographic's top ten beaches in the world after all.
But beyond that, The Andaman aspires to elevate the guest experience even further. Enter 'The Andaman Presents', a series of unique experience curated by the resort for holidaymakers to bring back an experience to remember. It could be a cooking class by a celebrity chef, an acoustic performance, or even a sandcastle building event—all catered exclusively for guests of the resort.
To kick off the series, The Andaman sets the bar high with a rainforest acoustic session featuring homegrown international singer, Yuna. No grand stage, no frills, just a casual, cosy setup in the lobby with bean bags and candlelights surrounding the makeshift stage—yet it made for the most wonderful evening in the resort, as Yuna serenaded guests with her sweet, soulful vocals in an intimate acoustic setting.
"Ultimately, we want our guests to have the best experiences they can get from a holiday, discovering something new and bringing home memories that they can collect and rekindle for the rest of their lives," said Carlos Tarrero, General Manager of The Andaman, Langkawi. "The evening was a big success with a great turnout. We had a full-house and even saw bookings from fans who flew in all the way from Singapore just to enjoy this unique experience."
Don't fret if you missed this one-night only experience, because the next 'The Andaman Presents' is not too far away. In December, the resort will be presenting its next rainforest acoustic session with another homegrown international name: Zee Avi. Another evening to remember beckons.
