This Saturday, Pierpaolo Piccioli will be unveiling Valentino’s Autumn/Winter 2022 Haute Couture collection titled ‘Valentino The Beginning’ in Rome at the iconic Piazza di Spagna, as well as virtually on YouTube. For Piccioli, this collection is a personal conversation with Valentino exchanged around shapes, proportions, and colours. In a note by Piccioli himself, he states, “I tell who I am, I frame an image, what I see around me and what I would like to see. Fashion that was one confined into a perimeter made of measures, dictates, is now free. The power of beauty makes it possible to imagine a future where people, the intrinsic value of our humanity, are at the centre of everything. Beauty is resilience.”
