Watch: Burberry’s Christmas campaign is unlike any festive ads you’ve seen before

With a star-studded cast that includes Kristin Scott Thomas, M.I.A, Matt Smith, Naomi Campbell and her mother, Valerie Morris-Campbell, you know you’re in for something good. For the year-end festivities, instead of a warm and fuzzy film, Riccardo Tisci took a slightly different approach and released a Christmas campaign that’s all about celebrating the eccentricity of a British holiday, from the unpredictable weather to delayed trains and family togetherness—shot by artist and photographer Juno Calypso through an unexpected lens. In a statement released by the brand, she says, “I wanted to portray a more realistic British Christmas, but still shot through a fantasy lens. The campaign takes you through all the key seasonal rituals, both good and bad. That’s what brings us together.”

In the video, you’ll find an array of iconic Burberry pieces on the stars, such as the trench coats, archive-print scarves, and the classic tailoring, alongside some of the brand’s latest additions, such as the TB monogram separates, Belt bags and a sneak peek of the Vivienne Westwood x Burberry collaboration-as worn by Naomi Campbell and her mother towards the end of the film. The 16-piece collection will be launched on December 6.
