Tory Burch’s beautiful new Parisian flagship is sugar and spice and everything nice
Tres jolie
With more than 150 boutiques worldwide, Burch’s first French outpost is a fitting tribute to Burch’s classic but bohemian aesthetic. Burch and architect Daniel Romualdez strove to preserve and enhance the beauty of the pre-existing 19th century structure of the seven storey building with raffia walls, white-washed oak floors and gold sunburst ceiling lamps. The atmosphere is chic, relaxed and undeniably feminine—the perfect backdrop for Burch’s full range of ready-to-wear, shoes, jewellery, handbags, accessories, watches and homewares.
Fellow designers Giambattista Valli, Olivier Rousteing and Jonathan Anderson; actresses Melanie Laurent, Dianna Agron and Jessica Alba and fashion it-girls like Lauren Santo Domingo and Anna della Russo all came to help Burch celebrate the opening of her eighth store in Europe. Musician Lauryn Hill performed a 45 minute set at the after-party at the very fashionable Hotel de Sully in the Marais.
