#KLFW2015 Highlights of Day 3

Day three of Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2015 was one part modern and three parts pretty. We saw immense amounts of lace and sequins (House of Doll), florals and billowy trains (Melson), and a few black & white, somewhat gothic elements (James Hock, For All by Villiam Ooi).

1. Innai Red never fails to deliver with a whopping 32 looks—an amalgamation of bright florals, fishtail and front-slit skirts, peplum tops, full length gowns, and some with a slight modern twist (oversized bell sleeves and cape tops), all in shades of cherry red, bright yellow and crisp white.

2. The opening look of Melson was already a head-turner: a caped jumpsuit with a floral neckline that model Tinie donned set the tone for designs to come. The following looks were in the same shade of off-white, as brighter colours were reserved toward the second half of the show for a confection of balloon tops and dress trains in checkered prints, all with bouquet of flowers attached over the right shoulder.

3. Zero to Ten played with layering in dresses and tops mostly in black and white (only five coloured exceptions, one of which is a modern red V-necked, wide-legged jumpsuit that we love) which also had an interesting recurring motif: a smattering of grommets.
