Just in: Uniqlo and Alexander Wang are collaborating

Attention Alexander Wang and Uniqlo fans: the two brands are collaborating on an innerwear collection, and you can expect the American designer’s signature designs made using the Japanese retailer’s innovative Heattech fabric. Having worked on a line of casual ready-to-wear pieces with the Lifewear brand when he first started his eponymous label 10 years ago, Wang revealed he has kept in touch with its CEO and President, Tadashi Yanai, over the years. This round, instead of RTW, innerwear such as bras, bodysuits, briefs and leggings will be introduced—all in neutral hues, excluding Wang’s favourite neon green shade. In an interview with Vogue, the designer mentioned that “Heattech is a program created out of innovation, function, and utility. It’s something that I’ve always been very inspired by, by the advancement and innovation in fabrication. I wanted to think about it in a way where even if it wasn’t just worn on the inside—if you wore it as a top as something to lounge around in—you feel like there’s a style, an aesthetic that could stand on its own.”

The collection is scheduled to be released on November 9. Stay tuned for more info.
