The buzz from H&M x Moschino hasn’t fully died down yet and the Swedish retail giant are back with more collab collection news. This round, the items are more subdued and pared down. Cult Swedish brand, Eytys collaborates with H&M for a unisex collection set to launch in January 2019.
The collection sees elevated basics in freeing boxy silhouettes apropos for the chic, modern dresser who finds beauty in simple yet perfectly designed wardrobe staples. 90’s slogan tees, sweaters, straight-cut trousers, slippers and sneakers populate the capsule collection. If you’re the type to “borrow” clothes from your SO, be prepared for a role reversal. You might find a few of these pieces “missing” from your wardrobe. If you’re looking to make it into a full family set, a handful of identical pieces from the adult collection are resized for the little ones.
“With this collaboration, we hope to introduce the H&M customer to our design philosophy of robust and fuss-free design where function triumphs embellishment and styles spans genders. The collection is all about proportions — creating a distinct unisex silhouette by playing around with loose silhouettes and chunky architectural footwear. It’s the Eytys idea of a ‘generic’ look, one that is meant to elevate integrity, attitude and confidence.” — Max Schiller, Creative Director at Eytys
The star of the collection is definitely the footwear, which the brand is most known for. All the shoes in the collection come Eytys distinct detailed sole, made even chunkier for this collab. In line with the current sneaker trend, the heavy soles make the perfect finishing touch. Our pick: The canvas sneakers with the pebbled misdole and pull tabs which serve as a pop of colour.
