Yes, you read that right. Less than two weeks after Dior unveiled the microsite where shoppers can sign up to stand a chance to purchase the limited-edition Air Jordan 1 OG Dior sneakers, its CEO Pietro Beccari has revealed to WWD that over five million people have registered online (that’s roughly the population of Ireland). The catch? Only 8,000 pairs will be available for grabs, and according to online sneaker marketplace StockX, the US$2,000 kicks are currently fetching over US$10,000 on the site. The shoes—alongside a collection of Air Dior ready-to-wear pieces and accessories from the Dior Men Autumn/Winter 2020 collection—will be in-stores this month.

Burberry releases its Summer 2020 campaign featuring Kendall Jenner

How do you shoot a campaign during a lockdown? For Burberry, it’s by going virtual—and getting your model to also take up the photographer role. In the self-portrait images shot by Kendall Jenner on her computer, the supermodel can be seen posing in the pieces designed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci, from a long-sleeved bodysuit to a shirt-and-shorts look that are emblazoned with larger initials in a refreshed colour palette. On the other hand, the short film utilises CGI technology to blend reality and fantasty, with a dreamlike setting that embodies the free spirit and “optimism of summer”.
