Zac Posen closes its doors
After almost 20 years in business, Zac Posen has announced that his labels—including House of Z and Z Spoke—is ceasing operations after failing to secure an investment in time. The company is now in the process of disposing its assets, and the Spring/Summer 2020 collection that was shown during New York Fashion Week back in September will not be produced. However, his role as the womenswear creative director of Brooks Brothers will continue. The American designer posted a heartfelt post on Instagram, saying: “I want to express my appreciation to our extraordinary team and for all those who have stood by me and the brand. I owe a great deal of gratitude for their unwavering support for and dedication to the Company. I am grateful to the team who lent their incomparable talent and commitment along the way. I remain incredibly proud of what we created and hopeful for the future. Love ZP.”
