Farfetch appoints Yasmin Sewell as Vice President of Style and Creative

Following the news that Style.com will be discontinuing all operations as a result of the partnership between Condé Nast and Farfetch, it was announced yesterday that Yasmin Sewell, formerly the fashion director at Style.com, will be joining the online retail platform as the Vice President of Style and Creative. In her new position, she will lead the global editorial and creative teams—overseeing all content and styling direction on-site, to create a seamless editorial shopping experience for customers on Farfetch.

Speaking of her new role, Yasmin quipped, “Farfetch is undoubtedly one of the most innovative companies in today’s retail landscape. I’ve known José (Farfetch founder José Neves) since the beginning—we are past collaborators, and it is an honour for me to become a full-time part of everything Farfetch is creating now and even more so, all that is to come. I am thrilled to be joining the team at this time as we define what content and commerce mean for the Farfetch customers globally.”

Farfetch’s Chief Marketing Officer, John Veichmanis says, “Millenial customers have really connected with our proposition as the diversity of product on the platform massively appeals to their sense of individuality. Building on our recent content and commerce partnership with Conde Nast, we want to develop new and inventive creative formats that help our customers discover more of the wonderful products available at Farfetch.”
