Days after releasing the photos to their latest Spring/Summer 2020 campaign starring a strong list of female actresses, Rodarte makes headlines yet again in the span of a week with the news of their latest collaboration with Cole Haan. Known for their comfortable and sensible footwear, Cole Haan’s groundbreaking Grand Ambition collection gets a Rodarte spin.
Consisting of footwear and handbags, Cole Haan x Rodarte sees silhouettes such as stiletto pumps, booties, slip-on sneakers as well as structured circle bags and soft satchels. “We wanted to collaborate with Cole Haan because they are such an innovative company that really values the same things we do in terms of design and pushing the boundaries of what is expected in the landscape of fashion. We were really impressed by the level of innovation that Cole Haan infuses into their product in order to deliver unparalleled comfort,” said Laura Mulleavy, one half of the sister team behind Rodarte.
The Grand Ambition sport pump and slip-on sneaker comes in three different colourways of true red, bubblegum pink, sleek onyx and optic white, constructed from a combination of embossed croc leather, patent leather, neoprene and lace detailing. The two bag silhouettes come in matching colour variations, embellished with studded details. At under RM1,700 each, we’ll consider these babies a definite steal.
