Best dressed of the week: Gemma Chan, Sarah Paulson and more

Although it’s only been two weeks since the beginning of the new year, these celebrities are wasting no time at a stylish start—after all, clothes do speak louder than words. In our first ‘best dressed’ list of the year, all the It-stars of Hollywood and Asia opted for striking details to amp up their ensembles, whether it’s for an after-party or a red-carpet premiere. Gemma Chan of Crazy Rich Asians’ Miu Miu midi dress struck the right balance between sweet and sexy, thanks to the cute bows and thigh-high slit, but Saoirse Ronan—who rocked the same brand) at the Mary Queen of Scots premiere in Berlin—proved that sometimes, staying simple can still be attention-grabbing. Case in point: Lin Chi-Ling’s sleek Versace gown at the Weibo Night Awards. Another one of our favourites this week, is Sarah Paulson’s Prada gown at the London premiere of Glass. The actress matched the colour of the flame motif with her accessories of the night, from her earrings to the ring and clutch, juxtaposed beautifully against the shade of pink.
