Zayn x Versus has arrived in stores and this is what you should get

Zayn Malik’s first capsule collection for Versus Versace is definitely catered for the new-gen style star who loves nothing more than to go about town in trackpants and logo tees. The British singer-songwriter included plenty of his favourite wardrobe essentials in the collaboration, working alongside Donatella Versace to create a street-cred worthy lineup. Sports and functionality are the two defining themes, with a play on proportion and individuality of customisation amidst a colour palette of khaki green, wine, black and white and a dash of red.

“When I see this collection, I see Zayn,” says Versace. “His attitude, his energy and his individuality are in every single piece. I am so proud of what we have achieved together.”

Highlights from the collection include zip-up bomber jackets—a signature of Zayn’s look—that are styled with bra tops and nylon trackpants for women, and logo print tees and distressed jeans for men. Functionality wise, oversized parkas, technical sweat tops and pique leggings make it easy to transition from your workout to the city streets without breaking into a sweat. Spot the logomania trend at play here with “ZXV” print letters created from tape appearing on hemlines and lacing. For womenswear, slip dresses, sporty mini skirts, graffiti-ed eco-leather jackets and skinny jeans make the bulk of the athletic-chic lineup.
