Armani/KL officially opens in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur

Before walking through the main entrance of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, you might have noticed a giant “A” on the corner of your right eye — a statement-making facade that is currently the new home to Armani/KL. This newly-renovated space was exclusively designed by Giorgio Armani with a team of in-house architects. And if the impressive exterior is anything to go by, let’s just say that the interior of the store might make you want to linger longer than expected.

The main facade of the store is made of bronze metal vertical slats, strategically placed by the front to allow natural light to filter through and for passersby to sneak a peek inside the space. The “A” stands out by the corner and is actually visible from different angles. Stroll past the chic platinum-finished doors and you’ll find that the design of each room has been curated to its own individual character — from the floors that are made of fine marble and onyx to matching wall covering in hues of gold, silver, green and aqua. Room furnishings of wood replete with silver and chrome ribbing complement the design, while the wallpaper, armchairs, carpet and lamps are from the Armani/Casa collection.

Spanning 340 square metres, the Emporior Armani store’s main feature is the elegantly-curved walls that highlight the space beautifully. Alongside that, marble-finished floors and glossy marmorino-clad ceilings give it a spacious depth, while walls are covered in grey fabric with a black crystal finish. The store carries Emporior Armani clothing and accessories for men and women, the EA7 sports collection, Emporio Armani underwear, watches, jewellery and eyewear. Take a walk up the stairs and you’ll find yourself at the Armani Exchange store on Level 4. The area sports a new concept that is in tandem with the relaunch of A|X, noted from the industrial, New York inspired interior featuring raw steel, aged wood and concrete.
