All the Chanel picks on our holiday wish list (that should be on yours too)

When it comes to gifting, Chanel is always a good idea. There’s just something about seeing the black box—adorned with the brand’s logo, tied with a white ribbon and a camellia—that makes our hearts flutter; so is it really a surprise that it’s on our holiday wish list this year? Cue the Cruise 2019 collection, where Karl Lagerfeld pulled out all the stops and built a 330-foot ocean liner—named La Pausa—in the Grand Palais for a nautical-themed show. It has surely come a long way since Gabrielle Chanel presented a small collection at the end of Autumn 1919, intended for the holidays and for herself to wear in one of her favourite destinations, Biarritz. Guests were all invited to have a good time on the larger-than-life voyage, and now, at its newly reopened Suria KLCC store, it’s our turn to join in on the fun.
