Two Swedish icons team up for a surprising collab. Acne Studios, known for its laidback Scandi-cool minimalist threads and Fjällräven, a company specialising in outdoor equipment make an interesting pair. If the name Fjällräven doesn’t ring a bell, you may recognise their best-selling Kanken backpacks that have been a cult favourite of late.
Acne Studios announced the collab on Instagram with a snapshot of a mashup logo bearing the two brands, complete with the Fjällräven arctic fox. Judging from the teasers, what we do know is the collection will be unisex and we can expect puffer jackets in bright bold colours and functionality as a key theme. And yes, the Kanken makes an appearance in new colourways. The collab is “an homage from one Swedish brand to another”, a key piece of evidence we spotted in the close-up of a label on what appears to be rainbow camo puffer jacket.
