Until the 20th of August, the Italian luxury fashion house and Galeries Lafayette are planning to give their customers a full Prada experience, and the takeover is not only limited to the 11 windows on boulevard Haussman. The brand will also be occupying the four windows at the menswear entrance, and a window on rue de Mogador to showcase its perfumes. Inspired by its Autumn/Winter 2017 show, the window displays are plastered with posters highlighting Prada’s interpretation of a woman’s role in this modern society, influencing the indoor displays as well. Wood panels help to tune up the domestic vibe of the windows, separating the spaces into two distinctive sectors—private and public—to connect the brand’s idea in different ways.
A walk to the skybridge and you’ll noticed the supersized Prada Trick Robots, which are available for sale through special order. For a unique shopping experience, the brand has also set up two pop-ups near the two main entrances of Galeries Lafayette; the women’s pop-up is in a more “private” setting—a round, shell-like video wall in soothing pastel green for a more intimate vibe, whereas the men’s products are all displayed in a solid grille structure, complemented with black-and-white chequered flooring.
