British illustrator Angelica Hicks caught the eye of Alessandro Michele—Creative Director of Gucci—while he was scrolling through Instagram. Out of his fondness of her ironic tone and offbeat creative approach comes this special collaboration on an exclusive t-shirt collection for the brand.

The lineup features 11 designs and each will only be produced in a very limited quantity of 100 pieces, which means there will only be 1,100 of these t-shirts worldwide. Borrowing from the art world, every individual tee will come with a dedicated label to denote its running number; ‘1/100’, for instance.
A giant hand-painted mural by the artist herself served as announcement for this collaboration. The ‘Freaks and Geeks’ painting will feature as one of the illustrations in the collection. Our favourites? ‘The Gospel According to Gucci’ and a tribute to British musical act ‘Florence and the Machine’.
Mark your calendars for May 25. The t-shirts will be launched on Gucci.com exclusively in Europe and the United States.
