After London Men’s Fashion Week, the fashion pack arrives in Florence—the Fortezza de Basso, to be exact—where the 97th edition of Pitti Uomo is held. While this year’s designer line-up includes the likes of contemporary brands including Jil Sander, Telfar, and Random Identities, on the sidewalks, showgoers were still spotted in polished tailoring that defines the city. But as the January temperature in the city remained at low temperatures of 10°c the past week, all the pantsuit looks were layered up with a similar choice of outerwear: overcoats.

We love the ones who kept it old school with outfits complete with a tie pin, pocket watch and fedora hats (e.g. look 2, 8 and 10), but we also appreciate those who gave their looks that little spruce-me-up, be it an Aztec-pattern coat and cowboy hat (look 3), print-on-print-on-print à la look 7, or a hint of utilitarian flair as seen on look 13. Not sure where to start? Neutral shades (see look 9, 12, and 14) will never fail. These are the looks to take inspo from if you’d like to suit up in chilly weather in the future.

Below, 17 dapper looks as seen at Pitti Uomo 97:
