Pink October: Here’s how fashion brands are raising breast cancer awareness in 2023

Breast cancer is a global concern among women and, occasionally, men as well. The risk of getting this disease increases after puberty, which is why women are always encouraged to do regular checkups as a preventive measure.

October is dedicated to raising awareness and standing in solidarity with those who are fighting breast cancer. Within the fashion industry, there are various commendable efforts to contribute to breast cancer awareness and support the community. Every year, brands commemorate the month by pledging a portion of their profits or even releasing capsule collections to gather funds for organisations dedicated to breast cancer research, education and providing assistance to survivors. Of course, this year is no exception. If you would like to help out by donating to the cause, here are some fashion brands to shop from:

The Pink Pony Fund is a long-standing initiative founded in 2001 by the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation with the aim of providing grants to cancer research centres. The endeavour has been created with the mission of reducing disparities in cancer care and increasing access to adequate treatment when the cancer is still at an early, curable stage.

Ralph Lauren offers the Pink Pony collection that’s dedicated to selling quality, stylish and, most of all, comfortable wardrobe essentials for kids, men and women for customers who would like to contribute to the cancer research initiative.

Savage X Fenty by Rihanna

Contributing through its partnership with the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), the brand donates to the Keep A Breast Give Back Grant program to support its plans to help BIPOC women who have breast cancer or are survivors of the disease.

If you are interested in showing your support through Savage X Fenty, shop the collection, which includes underwear, sleep tanks and Rihanna’s personal fave—stylish Fluff’d Up furry slippers available in Pink Ash, Lavender, and Caviar—where proceedings will be donated to the program.
