BURO Spotlights: Coach Airways has landed in Malacca

Several luxury brands spring to mind when it comes to immersive shopping experiences, such as Coach, which has always been at the forefront of the fashion industry in delivering these kinds of experiences. From the unforgettable ‘Coach on the Move’ in West Malaysia to the one-of-a-kind ‘Coach Play‘ in Singapore, the American fashion house has, time and again, proved its capacity to elevate the pleasure of shopping to greater heights. 

This time, Coach returns with yet another exhilarating experience with the launch of Coach Airways, which is built inside a real-life aircraft. Set at Malacca’s Freeport A’Famosa Outlet, the pop-up store spans 4,198 square feet and draws inspiration from the House’s unmistakable New York attitude and spirit of innovations.

Enter the Boeing 747, and you will find yourself in a confined space furnished like a cockpit, as well as passenger and lounge cabins decorated with retro colourways and prints. Every nook and cranny of the room has been wonderfully infused with the label’s distinctive codes like the Signature line, which not only reflect its heritage of fine craftsmanship but also celebrate the golden era of air travel in the 1970s. 

Moving further down the aircraft, you will come across an array of ready-to-wear, bags, and travel goods influenced by the next generation’s expressive attitude towards fashion. More good news is that you can browse through and shop a new collection curated specifically for Coach Airways. This limited-edition range includes T-shirts, passport leather cases, a wheeled carry-on luggage bag, and field tote bags.

As you approach the tail of the aeroplane, you will arrive at the Coach Café—the brand’s second instalment of the cafe. In addition to the aesthetically pleasing interior, this is the spot where you can soothe your senses and quench your thirst with artisanal coffee and refreshing beverages.
