Left wanting more after the GoT finale? Adidas is dropping its final Game of Thrones collab
Game of Thrones needs no introduction; and with 13.6 million viewers (us included), the finale on Monday became the most watched episode in HBO history. Regardless whether you're satisfied with the ending, one thing's for sure: the diehard fans will be left reeling after eight seasons (and eight years)—the post-series blues are real! If you're one of them who were left wanting more, here's a chance for you to own a piece of the throne, as Adidas is launching its final collaboration with Game of Thrones.
While the previous collection (launched in March) was made up of six sneakers that combine its popular Ultraboost sneaker with colourways inspired by the families and factions from the show—House Lannister, House Stark, House Targaryen, the Targaryen dragons, the Night's Watch and the White Walkers—this round, the brand aims to recreate the success hot off the show's final episode with a range of Speedfactory shoes. Adidas has yet to reveal the full collection, but according to a teaser posted on Foot Locker's Instagram account, it'll be a fire versus ice theme, representing the House Targaryen and the Night King or Winterfell. The AM4GOT model will most likely mirror the AM4 design, which comes with a lace closure, textile knit upper, and a Boost midsole.
Stay tuned for the release date on May 25.
