Coined "Para-noise', the sneaker is painted in black (which is said to fade over time), plus raw brush strokes visible on the midsole. Queen Elizabeth II goes fur-free

With fashion's crusade against fur, the British royal family is following suit with the recent announcement of Her Majesty's decision to stop wearing fur...well, sort of. The caveat being that the queen won't be ridding her ceremonial robes and other official garments that are lined with fur. Other new ensembles worn by the queen will use faux fur instead. A victory for cruelty-free fashion! However, according to Giles Roca, chief executive of the British Fur Trade Association: "Faux fur, fake fur, plastic fur is actually far worse for the environment than natural fur", he mentions on BBC Radio 4's Today programme. According to Roca, natural fur takes 30 days to break down whereas faux fur takes about 1,000 years. Faux fur versus real fur-which would you go for?
