Fashion buzz: The Coach x Champion collection is here, Salvatore Ferragamo introduces its Viva Girls, and more

The Coach x Champion collection is here

A week after creative director Stuart Vevers teased a Coach x Champion collab on Instagram, the collection has officially launched today, and the pieces seamlessly fuse fashion and athleisure. The limited-edition line includes an array of pieces such as sweaters, jogger pants, shearling jackets, and bags, and they’re all embroidered with fresh, new branding that combines the fashion house’s story patch and the sportswear brand’s C-logo.

“I’m excited to introduce Coach x Champion, a collection grounded in the authentic American heritage we share,” said Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “I was inspired by the idea of elevating sportswear silhouettes in an unmistakably Coach way using leather, shearling and by combining our iconic symbols in a way that feels fresh, youthful and immediate.”

Aside from model Paloma Elsesser, the campaign also features fashion TikTok star Wisdom Kaye, stylist Maha Gondal, and actor and singer Jeffrey Tung.

The collection is now available via Coach on Delivery.

Salvatore Ferragamo introduces its Viva Girls

Salvatore Ferragamo’s Viva line has quickly become a fast favourite since its debut during SS21. And now, the brand has unveiled the Viva girl squad that perfectly embodies the spirit of the collection—Chinese actresses Jelly Lin, Vanda Margraf, and Qiu Tian. As some of the rising starlets to know now, the trio represents the style of the new-gen. Lin and Margraf, in particular, have attended the Maison’s shows during Milan Fashion Week in the past. Watch the video above, where the girls let their youthful energy shine while sporting their colourful Viva shoes and bags.

Chanel ambassador Charlotte Casiraghi delves into her literary collection

ICYMI, Charlotte Casiraghi was officially announced as Chanel’s new ambassador at the start of this year, and she will also be the face of the House’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection.

Aside from the campaign, the Monaco royal is also teaming up with creative director Virginie Viard for a special project. Titled Les Rendez-vous littéraires rue Cambon (‘Literary rendezvous at rue Cambon’ in English), the series will bring a slew of female writers and actresses together to share their thoughts on different literary works. In the first instalment, the 34-year-old spoke about her relationship with books and reading via a video titled “In the library of Charlotte Casiraghi”. While it’s always interesting to get a peek into a celeb’s bag, being able to explore one’s book collection is extra special.

Motoguo unveils its Autumn/Winter 2020 campaign

As one of the local labels that’s making waves internationally, Motoguo’s unapologetically fun and whimsical aesthetic has always been its charm. For Autumn/Winter 2020, the brand teamed up with longtime collaborator, photographer Zhong Lin on a campaign that explores the word “It”. Shot in a nostalgic ‘80s setting, the set complements the retro collection that highlights contrasting colours and patterns, vintage embroidery, and mismatched buttons.

Zalora’s 2021 Chinese New Year campaign highlights local talents

Ahead of Lunar New Year, Zalora has unveiled its Year of the Ox campaign that’s equal parts traditional and futuristic. Starring KL’s fresh faces including models Cyii Cheng and Pang Hei, dancers Donna Holiwod and Firdaus; fashion influencer Cherrie Liong, and more, the group can be seen hanging out before following the lead of a lion dance and a Big Head Buddha, and ending the night with a dance party helmed by DJ Shelhiel.
