Not only known for his hit songs such as Let It Go and Hold Back the River, the 27-year-old artiste is also recognised for his (über stylish) contemporary rockstar style—always seen with his trademark wide-brimmed hat. Having been heavily involved with the brand the past year (he’s a regular at all the Topman Design shows), for the first time, James will be dabbling in fashion by collaborating with Topman for a 13-piece capsule collection.
Topman’s Creative Director, Gordon Richardson says, “It’s always exciting for Topman to collaborate with personalities outside the world of fashion as it challenges our normal perceptions. James has been no exception, he has diligently translated his unique sense of style into the perfect 13-piece capsule collection with as much care and attention he would for one of his albums. Every piece has a considered place and reflects his unique personality.
“It’s been a lot of fun teaming up with Topman to design my own collection. I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from performing live and the way I dress on tour. Many of the details I’ve focused on are based on my own, original drawing and sketches.” – James Bay
Inspired by his interest in art and music, expect original hand-drawn illustrations by James himself on separates from jackets to T-shirts. Have a first look of the pieces below:
