Style crush: Idris Elba

At 46 years old, Idris Elba is finally crowned as People’s Sexiest Man Alive this year, joining the likes of Chris Hemsworth, David Beckham and The Rock as some of the most desirable stars in Hollywood. Gracing the cover in a knit cardigan with a buzzed crop and his signature salt-and-pepper beard, there’s no denying that the actor is totally deserving of the title. But good looks aside, Elba has got his style game down pat too. Often seen in dark, neutral hues, when it comes to casual ensembles, you can find him layered up in outerwear such as a denim or a bomber jacket, or in a sweater that still shows off his toned physique. What we love most, is no doubt the impeccably tailored suits he was spotted donning, be it a navy blue suit-and-tie outfit at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding, a Givenchy all-black get-up for the Met Gala back in May, or a crisp white suit, worn with a lilac pocket square and colourful sneakers for that pop of colour. While it has been confirmed that he will not be the next James Bond—to many people’s dismay, we can all totally see him playing the role of an oh-so-suave secret service agent.
