Burberry collaborates with Chinese idol Kris Wu on a 19-piece capsule collection

Called the ‘triple threat’ in an article by Business of Fashion, Chinese idol and Burberry ambassador Kris Wu is dabbling into fashion design through Burberry—creating a 19-piece collection that no doubt adds that edge to the brand’s signature pieces. While this is not the first time he has partnered up with the label (Burberry launched a ‘Kris Wu edit’ the same time last year), you can expect a more personalised touch in the collection; some of Kris’ tattoos are printed onto pieces such as trench coat, and The Rucksack is embroidered with his song lyrics.

Speaking of the collaboration, the actor and musician says, “I am happy to be continuing to partner with Burberry and on such a creative collaboration. It has been a special experience working with Christopher Bailey on this collection, which integrates my personal style into
classic Burberry pieces. I was so inspired by the spirit, forward-thinking attitude and heritage of Burberry that
I wrote and recorded a new Hip-Hop track called ‘B.M.’ which encapsulates my experience with the fashion house.”

Below, the newly released music video to the track, starring Kris Wu in pieces from the capsule collection, no less.

The Burberry X Kris Wu collection will be launched on the 16th of December 2017, and new pieces will be introduced in January 2018.
