We can’t decide which we dislike more: the snow or the rain. Regardless, the NYFW showgoers handled the downpour in September like a pro, and didn’t let the wet weather dampen their style. Under their umbrellas (the clear dome ones seemed to be the most popular choice), were a variety of raincoat and rain boots alternatives that are still functional, but extra stylish. Look 1, 2 and 20 opted for trench coats to shield them from the rain and tuned things up with eye-catching boots that are made for flaunting. Eva Chen’s blazer-trench mash-up in look 8, in particular, was definitely double-take-worthy. Blazers were also a popular pick. Pantsuits—heavily printed for extra style points or in contrasting hues—gave the damp sidewalks that perk-me-up, though that did not stop the likes of Aimee Song (look 10) and Kim Jones (look 7), who were still spotted in ankle-grazing numbers.
