NYFW AW20: All the head-turning finale looks that made us swoon

The Autumn/Winter 2020 Fashion Month has kick-started with New York, but before we move on to London, we’re highlighting the best bold and beautiful ensembles that were sent down the Big Apple runways. Finale looks are often the best part of a show—they’re the designs that pull the whole collection together; they’re the designs that encompass a designer’s craftsmanship; and they’re the designs that end a show with a bang. While there have been many comments that claim that NYFW is no longer what it used to be as a number of brands are opting out of the schedule—whether it’s because they’re moving to another city or not showing completely—but thanks to the up-and-coming talents and the heavyweights who continue to deliver each season, there has been no shortage of head-turning looks that are oh-so-swoon-worthy.

Cue the gowns that make our (fashion) princess dreams come true (as seen at Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs, Brandon Maxwell, and Prabal Gurung); the tailored pieces that were made to perfection (as seen at Hellessy and Michael Kors Collection), architectural designs that are truly works of art (as seen at Area and Christian Siriano), and some of the most talked about looks that broke the internet (as seen at Christopher John Rogers and Oscar de la Renta). Regardless of what your style is, we can all be on the same page when it comes to standout designs.
