Dynamic duo Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding certainly knows the art of reconstructing (and deconstructing) men’s shirts with effortlessness—present in all 26 looks at Palmer Harding. The bulk of the collection possessed multifarious layers that were a pleasure to look at, such as asymmetrical hemlines, folds that were gentle and billowy (never cumbersome), and artful details that tied together each look beautifully—including rope drawstrings and copper buttons.
For Rejina Pyo, motherhood played a big role in her latest collection. “I had a baby six months ago and that really made me think about all different shapes of women, and their roles,” she said. Riffing off her bestselling Greta dress (a hot favourite of street style folk this season), silhouettes of her clothes were flattering, well-tailored and unerringly chic. Evening dresses were fluid and offered a raw aesthetic, while pantsuits bore a slouchy yet elegant demeanour thanks to a looser fit.
Tommy Hilfiger closed London Fashion Week SS18 with a rock circus that was every bit the visual fanfare that devotees of TommyxGigi would love. With ’90s hip-hop music playing in the background, the clothes were made for the grunge-loving festival goers, from chain-and-padlock necklaces and heavy biker jackets to tartan-printed puffy coats and thigh-high socks. The runway cast featured millennial stars and spawn of celebrities, including the Hadid siblings, Lucky Blue Smith, Hailey Baldwin, Presley Gerber—rounding of LFW with much-needed wattage.
