Who: The brand celebrates its 10 years in business this year.
Where: The designer channeled his love for contemporary art with a centerpiece of “sculptural tubes sprouting live, growing fungi” by Martin Belou.
What: JW Anderson is one of the latest brands to join the co-ed bandwagon—expect two runway shows and six drops in stores per year.
The Low-down: Complementing its curated installation at the center of the show-set, all the pieces exude that hint of outdoorsy feel, whether it’s the array of parkas or the shoe of choice-sneakers (from his collaboration with Converse). The overall show was a modest affair; models walked down the runway in midi or ankle-grazing numbers that were given a spruce-me-up with handkerchief hems and knots around the hips. Colour-wise, the pops of shimmer and bright ombre hues have got our full attention; the AW18 collection had a little bit of everything for everyone, and it may just convince us to opt for a camping trip next.
Buro Loves: We’ll make an exception to sporting more than seven colours at once for the sequinned tank dress look.
Burberry

Who: The “Burberry girls” such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, Naomi Watts and Lily James were some of the A-listers who sat front and center during the show.
Where: The brand’s February 2018 show is its chief creative officer Christopher Bailey’s last collection after 17 years. His next move has yet to be announced.
What: The brand is supporting three LGBTQ+ charities around the world through this collection.
The Low-down: Burberry’s February 2018 show was a highlight of its chief creative officer’s best moments with the brand. From the star-studded FROW and the clothes to the prism of rainbow lasers beaming during the finale, one thing’s for sure: Christopher Bailey is not planning to make a quiet exit. Thanks to its LGBTQ+ initiative, the rainbow colours (and checks) were a mainstay throughout its February 2018 line, but the designs were inspired by elements from the brand’s archives. Case in point: the capes, windbreakers and nipped-at-the-waist coats, not to forget some of the designer’s iconic releases such as sheer girly dresses and military jackets. Its Rainbow Check collection is now available in-store.
Buro Loves: Everything rainbow, please! Cara Delevingne—one of Burberry’s most featured models since she started out—closed the show with a majestic rainbow cape with checked lining.
