The most stunning gowns from Paris Haute Couture Week SS18

Haute Couture week consist of some of our all-time favourite shows for a reason; without the constraints of producing a ready-to-wear collection, designers get the freedom to go all-out with their creativity to produce one-of-a-kind looks that are walking art pieces themselves. For Spring 2018, it’s no different. This season, there were no shortage of extravagant gowns in all silhouettes and textures, but some of our picks, are made of airy chiffon and tulle materials that “floated” beautifully down the runway. Chanel embraced the floral spell with intricately embroidered numbers in different silhouettes and a soft colour palette—pulled together with floral veils that exude that springtime allure; Dior’s surrealism-inspired black-and-white dresses were given that extra je ne sais quoi with delicate eye masks and tattooed collarbones; Claire Waight Keller’s Givenchy Couture debut saw an array of looks that striked the right balance between cool and femininity; while Valentino’s elaborate elements gave the four-day event that epitome of more-is-more.
