From fanny packs to belt bags, this new trend is simplifying the way you carry your essentials around town

First spotted during Spring/Summer 2016, hip-resting bags are making a comeback since its glory days back in the 1980s. Made popular by tourists, grandparents and The Rock, the once-deemed-unfashionable fanny pack is now reinterpreted by designers into various shapes and sizes. Whether the hip pack, waist/belt bag or bum bag, this silhouette is now taking the fashion world by storm—as seen on celebrities below:

If you still aren't convinced, note that these bags come in a pretty handy size that's useful to keep your essentials in, as opposed to pint-sized mini bags (trending a season ago) that could only fit a lipstick and some cash if you're lucky.
