Homegrown talent showcases art exhibition in Paris
Malaysian model and artist Sheena Liam is making Malaysians proud. After her solo exhibition, Times New Romance, the artist is set to display her embroidery artwork in an art gallery in Paris. The group show, “Propositions inédites 3”, features Liam’s embroidered original artworks, deftly sculptured with threads. Liam’s craftwork will be presented together with that of other notable artists, namely, David Lynch, Charlotte Le Bon, Paul McCarthy, Christian Lacroix, and many more. The exhibition is ongoing until 14 March 2020 at Item éditions, Paris, France.

Miss Americana follows the life of pop star Taylor Swift; it documents the singer-songwriter’s momentous journey from being a reserved public figure to an outspoken political activist. In the trailer, Swift opens up on living to please others, sharing that, “I became the person everyone wanted me to be.” Determined to quash her long-established belief system to maintain a “nice girl” persona, the 31-year-old singer finally breaks her silence on politics, believing that she has the power to use her platform to good use. Aside from that, the documentary will also cover Swift’s heart-wrenching personal stories, such as her past experience with an eating disorder, her discovering her mum’s diagnosis of brain tumour, and more. The documentary is set to premiere on 31 January 2020 on Netflix.

While many had their own guesses of who would be baby Archie’s godparents, some predictions include the couple’s close friends i.e. professional tennis player Serena Williams, actress Priyanka Chopra, private publicist Izzy May, and more. This year, Archie’s godparents have been officially revealed, and there are three of them—Tiggy Pettifer, nanny to Prince William and Harry, is the godmother; Mark Dyer, Harry’s advisor, and Harry’s childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee are the godfathers.

The Jonas Brothers’ latest single, What a Man Gotta Do, certainly does not fall short on the following descriptions: fun, sweet, upbeat, and catchy. The music video garnered many positive reviews, not only praising the song, but also the brothers, for having their wives (instead of models): Danielle Jonas, Sophie Turner, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, in the video. Referencing three ‘80s films: Kevin and Danielle’s scene was inspired by Say Anything…; Joe and Sophie’s, inspired by Grease; and Nick and Priyanka’s, inspired by Risky Business. P/S: This is not the first time the J-sisters have appeared in their husbands’ music video, they also made an appearance in Sucker, too.
