Arguably the most interesting and dynamic release of this year (and, possibly, this century) is  ‘Gambuh Menyanyi‘, a collaborative single by MonoloQue and the Orkes Gamelan Pahang Di RajaFronted by ex-Butterfingers (1993 – 2009) member Loque, the musical outfit’s latest project is a double-album entitled Lagu Perang (Bunyian Gamelan Abad Ke-21)—which roughly translates to Battle Cry (Gamelan Music for the 21st Century) in English.

The upcoming album reimagines Malaysian Gamelan music through the eyes of the modern age; a way to reintroduce the tradition to contemporary listeners and share the understanding of gamelan music with future generations of Malaysians.

Billie Eilish releases the video for her latest single, ‘Lost Cause’

Eilish’s new single is accompanied by a self-directed video that has given us all collective FOMO (oh, to be invited to Billie Eilish’s sleepover…), and only serves to fan the flames of anticipation for her sophomore studio album, Happier Than Ever. Produced by Eilish’s brother and long-time collaborator, Finneas, the laid-back track features Eilish’s raspy, crooning voice front-and-centre as she seemingly slags off a good-for-nothing ex.

The new single follows the announcement of the 19-year-old’s world tour, Happier Than Ever: The World Tour, which has already sold out its first leg across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom.
